Black Women in Music, presented by The Connie Orlando Foundation, honors the unmatched strength and influence of Black women within the music industry. Following many years of building the foundation for women to thrive, we know it is time to honor Chaka Khan, Kelly Rowland, Fatima Robinson, Natina Nimene, Gail Mitchell, and Ebonie Smith. While Chaka Khan represents every woman- the past, the present, and the future- her fellow honorees are powerhouses in the music industry.
The second annual Black Women in Music will not only honor the brilliance of Black women in the music industry but also serve as a fundraiser. The annual event is presented by The Connie Orlando Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to helping women and girls live full lives. A portion of the event’s proceeds will be allocated to breast cancer awareness, research, and prevention.
